Title: AI Engineer IILocation: Houston, TX 77002 (ONSITE)Duration: Long Term ContractWork Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.JOB DESCRIPTION:We are currently seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join the Big Data Services department on a contract basis. As part of the Data Science team, the AI Engineer will work closely with the Data Engineering team and business functions to solve real-world oil and gas midstream problems using Generative AI foundation models.Responsibilities include: Design and implement applications using LLMs and foundation models (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, DALL-E)Develop sophisticated prompting strategies and chain-of-thought reasoning systemsCreate APIs and interfaces to connect AI models with existing applicationsBuild RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems for domain-specific applicationsEnsure responsible AI usage, including safety measures and ethical considerationsOptimize model performance and costs through efficient prompt design and caching strategiesThe successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: Experience with AI platforms and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)Strong programming skills, especially PythonFamiliarity with AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)Understanding of vector databases and embedding technologiesKnowledge of RAG architectures and prompt engineeringExperience with web development and API integrationUnderstanding of AI safety and ethical considerationsAbility to adapt in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to communicate insights and approaches in a simple, actionable mannerAbility to work independently and with team members from different backgroundsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsNice to have: Experience with fine-tuning and model evaluationKnowledge of semantic search and vector similarityFamiliarity with AI orchestration platformsUnderstanding of token optimization and cost managementExperience with multimodal AI applicationsExperience building solutions with AI agentsExperience building AI solutions on AWSEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldRelevant certifications in AI/LLM development3-5 yrs of exp.Our benefits package includes:· Comprehensive medical benefits· Competitive pay· 401(k) retirement plan· …and much more!About INSPYR SolutionsTechnology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
