AIDE - MH/BH (NO DEGREE) - Universal Health Services : Job Details

The Mental Health Assistant provides direct care to adolescents and adult patients with psychiatric disorders to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients. MH - As have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patients safety on the unit. MH - As are responsible for understanding and using the least restrictive interventions per facility policy and avoiding seclusion and restraint whenever possible. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelors degree in psychology or related field preferred. Experience: Prefer experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a Mental Health Aide working with children, adolescents, geriatric and/or adults. License/ Certification: Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia. Current CPR Certification required. Current Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation certification.
