Responsibilities Mental Health Specialist Diamond Grove Center is a 55 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. Qualifications Previous experience as a hospital aide or as Treatment Assistant desired. Prefer a degree in a Behavioral Science field or the equivalent of documented experience. Will accept a High School Diploma/equivalent, with experience as a Hospital Aide, Treatment Assistant and experience.Physical RequirementsOverall physical workload is medium. Must be able to transport, move and assist patients who are immobile. Ability to communicate orally and writing with others. Must be mobile throughout the facility and system entities to attend meetings and make rounds. Position requires flexible hours. Frequent sitting for long periods of time. Occasional operation of standard office equipment and computer. Frequent answering/using of telephone. Occasional conflict resolution; constant attention to multiple details. Frequent problem solving and decision making. Occasional exposure to stressful situations. Occasional exposure to body fluids and disinfectants.
