The Wayne County Schools Career Center is accepting applications for the position of:
Aide/Safety Security Monitor
STARTING DATE: Upon hire
SALARY: REPORTS TO: Per the Board of Education approved hourly pay scale
REPORTS TO: Matt Matt Brown - Principal
WORK WEEK/YEAR: As per board-adopted calendar-5 hours per day (7:30-1:15), Mon-Fri. when school is in session. Part-time, no benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have the ability to interact effectively with high school students and their parents while working as a team player with the lead teacher. Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or proof of graduation.
* A high interest in working with high school students.
* Must have the ability to interact effectively and proactively with students, staff and parents.
* Should be able to organize work schedule and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
* Previous experience as a school volunteer, tutor, aide or teacher is desirable.
* BCI and FBI criminal records results less than one-year old must be submitted prior to initial employment and as required thereafter.

Job Description
WCSCC is a public high school that provides career-technical training and academic courses for high school students grades 11 and 12. In addition the Adult Education Center offers training and educational opportunities for adults.
