Whether it's developing new skills, opportunities to innovate and grow, or the flexibility to enjoy the moments that matter with your loved ones, Willson International is the place for you.Location: Remote from New York, Michigan, or TexasShift - Monday - Friday 8am - 4pmDescription of RoleAs a Air - Ocean Import Analyst, you are responsible for ensuring that air and ocean imports are cleared promptly and efficiently through US Customs & Border Protection through the coordination of import and export shipping activities necessary to release freight
  • Strong working knowledge of US Customs & Border Protection and Participating Government Agency (PGAs) procedures in both air and ocean environments
  • Various Ports of entry including local and Remote Location Filing (RLF)
  • Experience with Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration is an asset.
  • Creates and files customs entries; local and via RLF
  • Resolve inland transactions that have moved from the northern border in-bond.
  • Maintain broker agent relationships and coordinate release with agent when necessary
  • Track vessels and flights to ensure timely filing of appropriate release documentation
  • Preparation of Deliver Orders when necessary
  • Classification of incoming commodities may be required
  • A high level of customer service is required. Responsible for communication with CBP and PGAs to ensure timely updates are provided to customers
  • Importer Security Filing (ISF) and standalone Prior Notice experience is an asset
Knowledge and Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 3-5 years releasing goods in a customs brokerage environment
  • Customer Service experience in an office environment
  • Exposure to the Transportation industry an asset
  • CCS certification an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database skills
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written is required
  • Problem solving, accuracy, attention to detail is required
