Job DescriptionThe individual will be doing hands-on repair, assembly, soldering, or re-manufacture of mechanical and electromechanical components utilizing company provided approved data. The technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft components. Training, technical documents, and oversight are provided by NEACO management. Essential Responsibilities

- Test and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
- Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).
- Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.
- Work with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.
- Assist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician's work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer reps, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors and similar (training provided).
Experience and Skills
- The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.
- 2+ of similar or related work experience; similar experience in aviation, automotive, marine, electronics, or low-voltage electric repair will be considered.
- Technician candidate must own his or her own set of basic hand tools.
- Applicant must have at the least a moderate level of experience and proficiency with general electrical soldering and/or circuit board level soldering.
- The ability to follow instructions and work to a written procedure concisely and accurately.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Applicants must be able to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions. A pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test may be required.
- Interested individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.
- Experience using a computer.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Valid driver's license.
- Electrical or Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience. Machinist experience a plus.
Education
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Associates degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.
- Trade schooling or related industry experience required.
- A&P license/certificate is not required (but it is a plus).
- This position is considered safety sensitive and will be part of FAA DOT Drug Abatement Program so must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug or alcohol testing.
Compensation
- Hourly position commensurate with experience level and skill level and/or certifications. ($20 - $26)
