Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft airframe and powerplant systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance to detect potential issues before they impact aircraft operability.
- Document all work completed in maintenance logs and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components using hand and power tools appropriately.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure effective task completion and communication.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance-related tasks, which often require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
