Shoreline Adult Education

Family Literacy Aide (ESOL) - Clinton

Location: Lewin Joel School, Clinton

Schedule and Hours: Saturdays from 9:30 am -12:00 pm (October 26 - April 5)

Start date: Week of October 21 for Orientation

Rate: $19.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

* Able to work with a variety of people from other cultures with limited English language proficiency

* Interest in supporting families with young children

* Knowledgeable of pedagogy and current practices in the field of childhood education and development

* CPR and First Aid certified

* Familiarity with adult education a plus

* BilingualEnglish/Spanish a plus

Major Area of Responsibility:

* Assist the family literacy teacher in supervising and instructing children between the ages of 2-6 years old while their parents are attending adult English for Speakers of Other Languages classes (ESOL).
