*Hiring in Winter 2024* GENERAL PURPOSEUnder the direction of the Chief Partnership Development Officer, the allcove Director will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the allcove team, ensuring that day-to-day clinical work is carried out to effectively meet the needs of young people ages 12-25 for the allcove Youth Wellness Center. The allcove Director contributes to the development of evidence-based and innovative clinical services and promotes the delivery of mental health services that are of the highest quality. They provide clinical support and guidance to clinical staff and ensure staff are provided with adequate supervision. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Oversee and lead the ongoing delivery and improvement of a high standard of evidence- based care to clients, including appropriate clinical services across the behavioral health spectrum.Provide clinical leadership, consultation and expertise to allcove clinicians and staff, and partner service and contractors, in the delivery of specialist behavioral health care to young people and their families.Ensure the allcove is consistently improving and safeguarding the quality of care the Clinical Director will develop and review clinical governance documents and processes. This will include but not limited to maintaining personal competency in the performance of high quality clinical and technical skills through involvement in direct service delivery Provides leadership for the allcove Youth Wellness Center based upon strategic direction, vision, mission and relevant policy development for allcove center and BCHD Actively participate in initiatives to maintain, build upon and promote a positive and collaborative workplace and actively participates as a member of the management team.Ensure the collection of all relevant data to measure deliverables, continuously improve and evaluate the delivery of services at the allcove center.Ensure clinical staff are appropriately oriented and provided with adequate supervision, training and professional development. This may also involve the clinical supervision of interns or fellows, or staff not yet registered, where applicable. Where required or during high demand, the clinical lead carries a caseload.Ensure clinical review meetings occur regularly and that documentation is completed appropriately.Manage clinical resources and rosters in a flexible and efficient manner to effectively manage client loads and to ensure timely and responsive service delivery.Identify opportunities to integrate and work collaboratively across teams.Liaise and work closely with Community Consortium members and external providers, to ensure the effective functioning of the allcove center.Ensure compliance with relevant quality and safety professional and healthcare standards Identify clinical risk issues and areas for improved clinical outcomes Collaborates and builds effective relationships with key stakeholders involved in the provision of health, behavioral health hand psychosocial services to young peopleResponsible for modeling and demonstrating constructive working relationships and information exchange across the organization. Oversee HIPPA compliance and related policies and procedures. Strives to eliminate barriers to diversity; ensures that new barriers to diversity are not built.QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINESAny combination equivalent to experience, education, and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:EDUCATION/TRAINING:Masters' level clinician (social work, mental health counselors, psychologists, licensed drug and alcohol counselors) with licensure or certification in mental health and/or substance use, and clinical expertise and experience with adolescents and/or young adults. Requires a valid California license as a licensed clinical social worker as issued by the State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.EXPERIENCE:Minimum of five years of post-graduate social work experience in the field of mental health. Minimum three years of project management experience with successful experience in program development, implementation, monitoring evaluation and continuous quality improvement. Minimum two years of experience supervising staff including talent management and engagement, and latest human resources and volunteer management practices. KNOWLEDGE:Public health concepts and frameworks; program evaluation, measurement and outcomes; visioning and strategic planning.Knowledge of adolescent development and the social and health needs of young peopleexperiencing mental illness and other concurrent issues. Knowledge of clinical theory, human development, systems theories, strengths-based perspectives, normal and abnormal psychology, group process and counseling modalities. Proven clinical leadership skills with expertise in youth-centered care.Familiarity with school-based requirements (FERPA (Family Education Rights Privacy Act), all school records for students under the age of 18 are accessible by parents) due to the duality of the population being served.Knowledge of law as related to mandated reporting, consumer protection (California Board of Behavioral Science policies) and the Tarasoff Law. Knowledge of ethically based practice and limits of scope of practice and BCHD's guidelines, polices, and procedures. Broad knowledge of the range of services available to young people in the local community, health, education, employment and youth sectors.ABILITIES/SKILLS:Requires excellent organizational, project and program management and written/oral communication skills. Understanding of financial transactions and community outreach or success in actively engaging organizations in a program/project is required. Ability to learn compliance with legal, financial and university policies and external regulations.Excellent working knowledge of the computer, including Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and ability to learn software programs and databases. Bilingual Spanish-English skills are highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends is required.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) methods; appropriate safety precautions and procedures; simple record keeping procedures. Must be able to successfully pass background check, tuberculosis test and drug screen.
