CTF and Praire State - Allied Health Intern Partnership
This is only open to students actively enrolled in the Prarie State Allied Health Program
CTF is most dependent on the supported care of our Direct Care Professionals (DSP). DSPs are responsible for care as related to activities of daily living, including but not limited to meal preparation, medication administration, transportation (community involvement), hygiene and toileting needs.
CTF applied for and received a grant that addresses both CTF's need to hire additional supports for our staff and also a college student's need for hands on experience and a work schedule that would allow time for their studies.
We welcome Prairie State's partnership and hope to hire 4-8 Allied Health students for new Allied Health Paid Internship Program. CTF offers up to 13.00/ hour and with the additional funding from the grant, to give all students 20.00/hr wage. All shifts will be day shifts on Saturday and Sunday only to allow for their Monday-Friday school schedule.
Students can apply to work every weekend or job share with a fellow student to share a weekend or work every other weekend. Hours will be set dependent of their assigned home's need and all shifts will be at least of 8 hours.
Students will need to show proof of active enrollment in the Prairie State Allied Health program and CPR certification. Students will be required to take an OIG class prior to their first day. All students will receive an internship badge and be expected to wear it during all shifts.
