This role is an integral part of our organization, as this person will identify and procure numerous alternative delivery pursuits each year- along with contracts necessary to support our construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alternative delivery methods, task force meetings, project management, and strategic planning. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support project goals and objectives.
- Lead task force meetings to discuss procurement strategies and plans.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Oversee the preparation of contracts and tenders, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Use alternative delivery methods to achieve project goals and improve efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and perform risk assessments to identify potential procurement opportunities and challenges.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities and performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with alternative delivery methods, task force meetings, project management, and strategic planning.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead task force meetings and collaborate with a diverse team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and develop effective strategies.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
- Proficiency in procurement software and other relevant computer applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or related fields
