- Spearheads Development of Alumni Individual and Class Leadership: Identifies potential leaders, cultivates alumni committees and volunteers, and maintains relationships with alumni of all ages. Cultivates and trains dedicated alumni class leadership teams responsible for energizing their respective classes and ensuring maximum participation in annual giving efforts, Jesuit events, and class engagement events.
- Supports and Organizes Alumni Annual Giving: Secures class-level volunteers/callers for Alumni Giving Drive and attends and participates in all AGD events.
- Implement Targeted Alumni Outreach: Develops and executes segmented communication strategies for various alumni cohorts, including personalized outreach, age-specific communications, and targeted event invitations to foster community and reconnect classmates.
- Utilizes Data-Driven Engagement Strategies: Ensures consistent updates on the impact of alumni contributions and publicly celebrates philanthropic milestones, class accomplishments, and more to facilitate ongoing support. Tracks and assess the success of alumni engagement efforts through metrics such as event attendance, participation rates, and alumni feedback.
- Provides Regular Updates and Acknowledgments: Ensure consistent updates on the impact of alumni contributions and publicly acknowledge milestones reached to foster trust and encourage ongoing support.
- Highlights Alumni Contributions in Communications: Incorporates stories of alumni contributions and their impact on the school in communications like Jaynotes, social media, and the website, recognizing alumni who contribute both financially and through volunteer efforts.
- Strategically Develops Alumni Programming: Creatively designs and implements new programs and initiatives that align with the school's advancement and strategic goals, ensuring these programs foster strong alumni engagement and support the broader mission of Jesuit High School.
- Coordinates the Following Annual Events: Alumni Homecoming Mass & Reception (serves as Alumnus of the Year liaison); Alumnus of the Year Dinner; Commencement Luncheon; Career Day (with JHS guidance office)
- Coordinates the Following Committees: Alumni Captains' Committee (meets twice per year); Alumni Steering Committee (meets twice per year).
- Collaborates with Development Team: Regularly works together with development and major gifts colleagues to promote seamless integration of alumni affairs and development efforts.
- Supports regional and national alumni chapters across the country, involving travel up to four to five times a year.
- Cultivates personal alumni relationships at school events throughout the year.
- Coordinates or delegates 5-year alumni reunions and up to six niche reunions per year.
- Holds weekly alumni affairs meeting.
- Oversees program for maintaining alumni contact information.
- Organizes and leads committee which makes recommendation to president for the following: Alumnus of the Year, Distinguished Military Alumnus, Alumnus of the Year, Archdiocesan Distinguished Alumnus Award
- Coordinates alumni component of Thanksgiving Drive.
- Secures alumni tour guides for Open House.
- Serves as a member of Rivalry Game planning committee (Jesuit vs. Holy Cross football).
- Invites alumni to speak at morning assembly.
- Assists with writing alumni segments for Jaynotes(bi-annual publication) and website.
- Attends JSN and advancement conferences and other professional development opportunities.
Professional Requirements
- Skill in marshalling engagement from volunteer leaders
- Proven ability to interact on a professional level with alumni of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to keep information, especially financial data, confidential
- Understanding of and appreciation for Jesuit High School of New Orleans and its history
- Proven track record of meeting performance goals
- Proficiency with verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- General understanding of database navigation and entry
