JOB SUMMARY:

The Alumni Relations Manager plays a critical role in building and nurturing relationships with the organization's alumni network. This position involves developing, executing, and managing engagement strategies that foster lifelong connections with former employees and contractors. The Alumni Relations Manager will coordinate programs, events, and communications that celebrate the achievements of alumni, encourage their ongoing involvement, and highlight the unique benefits of maintaining a strong connection with Southwestern Family of Companies. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and provides excellent service to team members and customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee the maintenance and management of the alumni database platform

* Maintain accurate and orderly alumni records

* Coordinate with IT to cleanse and enhance our alumni data to increase accuracy and reach

* Plan and execute communication strategies across email, social media, newsletters, and other channels to keep alumni informed and connected with company news, events, and opportunities

* Lead all aspects of alumni reunions and other alumni focused events both in- person and virtual

* Actively develop relationships with our entire alumni network

* Increase alumni engagement through all channels to drive revenue, business development, recruitment, and brand advocacy

* Collaborate with the various businesses within SWFC to find opportunities for increased revenue, business development and recruitment through our alumni network

* Provide reporting on all engagement metrics including platform engagement, communication metrics, event attendance, recruiting, revenue, and potential new business derived from alumni

* Maintain brand standards across all marketing and communication channels dedicated to alumni

* Maintain a content calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates

* Optimize and report on campaign successes and provide insights based on the findings

* Identify new and emerging strategies to increase alumni engagement

* Actively identify and engage alumni leaders, influencers, and advocates to serve as ambassadors for Southwestern Family of Companies

* Collaborate with the marketing team to create high-quality content that highlights alumni success stories, showcases Southwestern's impact, and strengthens the brand's value within the alumni community

* Use data insights to refine engagement strategies and drive continuous improvement in alumni relations efforts

* Work closely with internal departments, including marketing, sales, HR, IT, Career Services and leadership, to align alumni initiatives with company goals and strategies

* Develop targeted outreach strategies for different segments of alumni to personalize engagement based on career milestones, geographic location, and industry

* Manage and maintain alumni relations budget

* Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field

* 5 years of experience in alumni relations, customer engagement, marketing, or a related field

* Proven ability to develop and implement engagement strategies and manage community-building initiatives

* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and fostering connections

* Experience with event planning, content creation, and social media management

* Ability to effectively lead a project team and facilitate team meetings

* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM, database management, and reporting tools

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

* Attention to detail, critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent organization and follow-through
