Job Title: Alumni Success CoordinatorSupervisor: Chief of Staff Hours: Monday - Friday, TBDDuration: Full-Time, Salaried (12-month position)Description: The Alumni Support Coordinator will play a vital role in launching and leading the Niki Janus College and Alumni Success Program at Codman Academy. This position will focus on rebuilding the alumni network, fostering college and career persistence, and providing targeted support to alumni. The Coordinator will engage directly with alumni, including through campus site visits and meetings, to ensure they remain connected to Codman and have the resources needed for postsecondary success and college career persistence. Key Responsibilities:Alumni Engagement and Network Building
- Rebuild and maintain an accurate alumni database, including contact information, progress tracking, and engagement metrics.
- Design and execute strategic outreach campaigns to reconnect with alumni.
- Plan and host alumni events, such as virtual meetups, networking panels, and mentoring sessions, to foster community and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain a digital alumni platform for ongoing communication and engagement.
College and Career Persistence Support
- Provide tailored college persistence and career readiness support to alumni, including mentoring, workshops, and access to resources.
- Oversee Codman based scholarships including fund distribution and student progress updates.
- Conduct campus site visits and in-person meetings to provide direct support and strengthen relationships with alumni.
- Collaborate with educational institutions, employers, and community organizations to create partnerships that benefit alumni.
- Organize pre-college support initiatives for recent graduates, including document preparation, registration assistance, and first-semester readiness plans.
- Implement and evaluate pilot programs, including mentorship and job-shadowing opportunities.
Program Development and Expansion
- Analyze alumni needs and feedback to inform program design and resource allocation.
- Provide recommendations for additional staffing and resource expansion to support the Niki Janus College and Alumni Success Department.
- Collaborate with the Head of school, Chief of staff and external affairs department to produce an annual report outlining program outcomes, trends, and strategic adjustments.
- Host and coordinate HBCU, PWI, and career panels bringing alumni back to condman to share their experience with current students.
Data Management and Reporting
- Collect and maintain data on alumni progress, needs, and program impact.
- Use data-driven insights to inform program adjustments and communicate results to donors and stakeholders.
- Ensure program compliance with grant requirements and report on outcomes.
Qualifications:Required:
- Bachelor's degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with alumni, college access, or career readiness programs.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using data systems and tools for tracking and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with diverse alumni populations.
Preferred:
- Experience working in an urban school setting or with underserved populations.
- Familiarity with alumni engagement best practices, college persistence strategies, and career readiness initiatives.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Knowledge of college access programs, such as EL or Overgard, is a plus.
