Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering analyses in support of nuclear fuel cycle operations such as deconversion and enrichment. The ideal candidate will have experience following engineering processes and procedures and will be knowledgeable in subject areas such as material balance, thermodynamics, and software programming. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing analysis using analysis software to provide design inputs, solve problems, and contribute to process development for nuclear fuel production facilities. The work may involve the use of programs such as COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS, etc.
- Development of programs required for modeling various aspects of nuclear fuel production facilities. The work may involve the use of programming languages such as Python, MATLAB etc.
- Accomplishing complex engineering assignments in your specialty. Makes independent decisions on engineering problems and methods.
- Preparation and presentation of routine and special reports and summaries on status of projects.
- Participate in reviews of technical designs and papers as either the primary engineer or a panel member.
Position Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related fields of study.
- Understanding of engineering principles and skills such as material balance, thermodynamics, software programming.
- Experience working with engineering processes and procedures, technical writing, and problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ideal person has work experience performing analyses using the tools described above in a in a nuclear, chemical, aerospace, or petroleum industry.
