Job Description - Analyst, Prospect Management and Research (2404036)
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time professional experience in prospect research, data analysis, and/or related field. Proficiency using Microsoft Excel data functions (i.e. pivot tables and formulas).
Preferred Qualifications: Additional years (3+) of relevant experience in prospect research, data analysis, and/or related field. Experience working in higher education, non-profit, or related fields. Experience with prospect research software (i.e. Wealth Screenings, LexisNexis, WealthEngine, Hoover's, etc.). Direct experience in fundraising operations. Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar relational database.
Brief Description of Duties: The Stony Brook University Advancement Analyst, Prospect Management and Research will support Advancements and the Prospect Management and Research team's mission by identifying broad prospect pools, supporting program tactics for prospect identification, and providing research and analysis on individuals, corporations, and foundations. The Analyst, Prospect Management and Research will be responsible for disseminating information on stakeholders, maximizing and leveraging prospect research initiatives set by the Senior Director, and conducting prospect research utilizing publicly available information sources as well as data provided through internal and external sources. They will partner closely with the Prospect Management and Research team, Data Services, Development, and other University Advancement teams to support Stony Brook University Advancement's goals.
Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
