Job Description: Analytical Chemist

The Analytical Chemist is responsible for performing accurate chemical analyses of raw materials, bulk liquids, and finished products in accordance with SOPs, GLPs, GMPs, and regulatory requirements. The role involves conducting testing such as pH determination, viscosity, GC, HPLC, IR, and wet chemical titrations to ensure materials meet specification criteria before release. The Analytical Chemist maintains thorough documentation and ensures compliance with laboratory standards, supports lab maintenance, and assists with purchasing analytical supplies. Additionally, the role involves training junior chemists and handling special projects such as method validation and transfer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform chemical testing on raw materials, bulk liquids, and finished products.

- Conduct tests including pH, viscosity, GC, HPLC, and wet chemistry.

- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of test results.

- Support lab maintenance and prepare test solutions.

- Assist with material sampling, testing, and release.

- Train junior chemists on SOPs, instruments, and laboratory procedures.

- Handle special projects such as method transfer and validation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field.

- 0-3 years of experience in an analytical chemistry lab, with proficiency in GC, HPLC, and wet chemistry.

- Familiarity with MS Office and LIMS.

- Strong time management, communication, and multitasking abilities.
