Analytical Lab Director – Pharmaceutical

Analytical (Chemistry) Lab Director sought for established privately held Sterile Pharmaceutical Manufacturer located in Eastern Long Island (Riverhead, NY). The Analytical Lab Director will oversee all on-site Analytical/Chemistry labs in our facility

Competitive Salary commensurate with experience; a Relocation Allowance is also offered for nonlocal candidates.

The business model includes company-owned drug approvals, patented OTC drug products; CMO for approved drug products and CMO for private label OTC drug products. Strong opportunities for growth exist in all categories.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at minimum an BS or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing an Analytical (Chemistry) lab in the pharmaceutical industry including managing the workflow and training of lab personnel; method development and method validation; ensuring data integrity for reported data and systems; and managing a stability program.
• Candidates must be experienced with HPLC, GC, TOC, UV-Vis, FTIT, and Particle Size Analysis

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee/manage lab upgrades with lab managers and QA department
• Oversee/Manage compliance with Data Integrity requirements
• Oversee/Manage Stability program w/r/t ensuring timely performance of testing and reporting of results
• Oversee/manage method validation and method development
• Oversee and develop training program
