Sartorius is seeking an Analytics and Reporting Business Partner with drive and passion to be part of the BPS division's Commercial Excellence team. As part of the team, you will participate in various Commercial Data and Analytics initiatives ensuring Sales and Customer Support teams and leaders are provided timely insights spanning customer behavior, business performance, customer support, forecasting, etc., enabling the org to steer business, drive profitable growth, and improve effectiveness. You will lead the development of advanced analytics and drive increasingly complex data initiatives.

In this job you will have the opportunity to

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycles, from analyzing business requirements to launching and operating applications.
  • Collaborate closely with business users, translating complex challenges into technical solutions that are user-friendly, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Identify gaps in data, processes, and systems, collaborate with stakeholders, and execute necessary initiatives.
  • Engineer data pipelines by integrating various data sources into platforms like Databricks and Snowflake, collaborating with data governance colleagues in ensuring compliance.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that drive informed business decisions through actionable data insights. Support building foundational data, such as customer, market, and business insights enabling downstream use cases.
  • Continuously challenge the status quo and push for advancing analytics, including but not limited to developing product recommendation engines, leveraging data aggregators, and championing practical Gen AI use cases.
  • Support Sales Territory Management & Incentives initiatives, optimize Sales force utilization through territory design, and support structural change initiatives.
  • Optimize sales forecasting accuracy supporting business planning, Sales target setting, and performance management.
  • Analyze internal reports and KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and correlations, providing deeper insights for decision-making.
  • Mentor and support other Data & Analytics professionals within the organization.
  • Play an active role in governance and contribute to long-term strategy and planning of Data & Analytics initiatives.

Your qualifications

  • Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data analytics & reporting, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; knowledge of Agile methodologies is an advantage.
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, diagnose root causes, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Proficient in building dashboards with visualization tools, particularly Tableau.
  • Experience with Customer Segmentation and Stratification is highly valued.
  • Expertise in Python/PySpark for data manipulation and modeling.
  • Proficient in Snowflake and Tableau, with a strong emphasis on these tools as assets.
  • Experience with Generative AI and Machine Learning for enhancing business outcomes is a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and other enterprise solutions like SAP ERP is highly desirable.
  • A team player with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to dynamic inputs.
  • A self-driven, can-do attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages (German) are an advantage.

Base salary offered for the position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 depending on experience. (Higher starting salaries may be available in other locations based on geographic differentials).
