LOCATION: Remote - This is a home based, virtual position that operates within the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm EST. Vaya Health welcomes applications from NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, and FL.GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOBUnder the direction of the Analytics Development Director, the Analytics Development Manager will provide supervision and leadership to analysts, modelers, business intelligence developers, application developers, and testers in the development of business applications, end-user business intelligence products (reports, data visualizations, etc.), and data warehouses.The Analytics Development Manager will also provide expertise and guidance in the establishment of development processes and the ongoing maintenance and improvement of those processes. This will include development of standards, policies and procedures, methodologies, and best practices for the development process.Note: This position requires access to and use of confidential healthcare information or protected health information (PHI) as described in laws addressing patient confidentiality, including, but not limited to, the federal HIPAA law, the Confidentiality of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Patient Records law, 42 CFR Part 2, and various state laws. As such, the individual filling this position shall be required to be trained regarding such laws and shall be required to observe those laws in his/her capacity as an employee of Vaya Health. The individual filling this position shall also sign a confidentiality statement as an employee of Vaya Health.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide supervision and technical leadership to an Analytics Development Team. This includes performing personnel administrative functions (e.g. hiring, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and providing professional development); maintaining adequate staffing; and enhancing the productivity of personnel.
  • Perform hands-on development of advanced business intelligence solutions that may include, but not be limited to: reports, data visualizations, data extracts, data loads, data transformations, data warehouses, and advanced data analyses.
  • Partner with other teams within Vaya, the Information Services Division, and the Enterprise Analytics Department to provide data preparation (integration, standardization, cleansing, and transformation) services for those team.
  • Participate in the organization's Data Governance Program to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability.
  • Maintain vendor relationships through assistance in planning, coordination, implementation and support of all assigned applications. Coordinate special projects with vendors as needed to complete strategic goals of the organization.
  • Professional development: This position is responsible for learning and improving upon the skills necessary to stay competitive in the field and coincide with the advances in technology. This position will participate in conferences, seminars, certification programs, etc. as applicable to ensure continued skill development and technical competency.

  • A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager including web applications and web services (REST)
  • Proven experience in developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) in a Microsoft SQL Server/Tools environment
  • Experience with Scrum methodology and agile practices
  • Experience working and developing in a data warehousing environment.
  • Proven ability to understand business processes and interact directly with internal customers and peers to provide sound business solutions
  • Proven ability to meet development commitments and manage expectations
  • Proven problem solver, with ability to debug complex processes and applications
  • High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) and the ability to articulate ideas clearly
  • Desire for constant improvement
QUALIFICATIONS & CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related preferred. Must have at least 7 years of progressive experience working through the systems development life cycle and delivering business intelligence products to customers (internal or external) of which 5 of those 7 years are in management/leadership.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparation and analysis of documents; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
  • Physical activity in this position includes crouching, reaching, walking, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of hands, wrists and fingers.
  • Sedentary work with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Mental concentration is required in all aspects of work.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: The person in this position must live in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, or FL.SALARY: Depending on qualifications & experience of candidate.
