Analyzing Technician I - The Fountain Group : Job Details

The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Analyzing Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Elgin, IL. Details for the position are as follows: We are seeking a highly skilled Analysis Technician to join our dedicated team for the 1st shift. Based at our state-of-the-art facility, you'll be responsible for board-level analysis of failed 2-way subscriber products (both mobile and portable 2-way radios). This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic assemblies to identify the root causes of failures. Job Description:

• Pay: $26hr - (W2)
• Shift: 6:00am - 2:15pm. Monday to Friday (Onsite). (Weekends when required.)
• 2 - month assignment (potential to extend beyond the end of the year).
• Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using various test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting skills.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems, define corrective actions, and communicate findings effectively.
• Identify vendor vs. process defects and write detailed failure analysis reports.
• Record data of failures and explain diagnoses clearly.
• Work independently and adapt to varying conditions.
• Support factory operations on weekends when required.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology required (Bachelor's preferred).
• Proficiency in operating/setup of electronics equipment (signal generator, modulation/audio analyzers, spectrum analyzer, power meter, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• RF knowledge and 1-3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for component-level troubleshooting is a PLUS.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way subscriber products is a PLUS.
• Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
