The Anesthesia
Workroom 2nd Shift Supervisor position will provide clinical operational support to assure effective and efficient delivery of healthcare and anesthesia services. Provides support to the Department of Anesthesia through, human resources management, supply chain and inventory management, oversight of equipment repair and maintenance, and operations management. Functions as a front-line supervisor for staff within the Anesthesia Workrooms throughout UIHC. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMWhat you will do:
- Provide supervision of anesthesia workroom employees, including; recruiting, payroll, performance evaluations, performance management, scheduling and daily work assignments
- Manage workroom inventory, including oversight of daily procurement and stocking.
- Develop training materials and train staff on workroom procedures and ensure adherence to department and institutional policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to management on means to achieve goals and resolve service issues.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

- Bachelor's degree in a health care or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 1-3 years of relevant Health Care experience
- Strong computer skills, including PC-based Microsoft applications.
- Strong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities.
- Recent experience leading teams or project groups (within last 3-5 years)
Desirable Qualifications:- Certification as an Anesthesia Technician through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians
- Experience in supervising bargaining unit employees
- Experience in providing training and developing training materials.
- Experience with anesthesia equipment
- Experience with supply chain and inventory management
