We are a year-round operation; this position requires a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally after hours for special assignments. The **Animal Encounters Host** is a rotating schedule, and the hourly compensation is $11.00.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS HOST**

As an **Animal Encounters Host,** you will perform various tasks related to the safe operation of the Zoo Carousel and 4D theater. You will perform ticket sales, cleaning, and cash handling responsibilities. **Animal Encounters Host** has constant direct guest interaction and consistently exhibits awesome guest service.

**QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS HOST**

* Six (6) months of theme park or hospitality industry is preferred.

* Six (6) months of cash register/cash-handling experience in a retail operation is preferred.

* Six (6) months customer services industry is preferred.

* Ability to relate effectively with the public, especially very young children and older adults.

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

* Must be 18 years of age or older with a clean driving record for vehicle operation.

* Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment National Sex Offender Search, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
