Animal Facility Operations Technician - Blackfield Associates : Job Details

Blackfield Associates are partnered with a Biopharmaceutical manufacturer based Worcester County, MA in the search for an Animal Facility Operations Technician.

As an Animal Facility Operations Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the business by carrying out daily operational skills and procedures in order to ensure production goals are met within the organizations Animal Facility.

Key responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

• Daily animal care activities such as feeding, animal observations/identification of clinical concerns, and nail trimming
• Husbandry activities such as cage change/cleaning, use of power wash and chemical dispensing equipment, and general facility sanitization and support
• Technical skills to include IM, IV, SC, and IP injections, and IV blood collection procedures
• Utilize computer and paper based systems to accurately document and/or record information to assure compliance with applicable regulations, and company policies
• Exhibit a sound understanding of applicable animal care and use guidelines

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior Animal Laboratory or Animal Clinic experience
• Life science-related subject education, AS, BS, or Diploma level
• AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science) certification at the ALAT (Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician) level would be advantageous
