Wildwood School is also a founding member of the Mastery Transcript Consortium.The Annual Giving Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Development to enhance and increase Wildwood's $2.1M annual giving program. As a member of the Advancement office, this position plays an integral role in developing and executing the Wildwood Fund's goals, strategies, and initiatives. The Annual Giving Officer will work closely with Advancement colleagues and volunteer leadership to foster a strong culture of philanthropy within the Wildwood communityEssential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Advancement office fundraising team to identify, cultivate, and solicit members of the Wildwood community, managing a portfolio of prospects
- Maintain regular and thoughtful contact with prospects, donors, and volunteers ensuring prompt and accurate recording of interactions
- Assist in developing and implementing donor engagement strategies for current and lapsed donor groups, including parents, faculty, staff, alumni, parents of alumni, and grandparents
- Partner with the Development Director in the creation of solicitation letters, print and collateral materials, caller training tools, thank-you cards, stewardship pieces, videos, and presentations
- Maximize corporate matching gift donations by regularly reviewing matching employers and our donor database
- Collaborate with the Director of Development to develop and implement stewardship plans for all annual giving donors
- Work with the alumni development team on executing the alumni development plan
- Serve as project lead as a member of the events team for various donor cultivation and stewardship events
- Act as a visible ambassador of the school within and beyond the Advancement office
- Perform other duties as assigned, including some evening and weekend work, office staff support, and event attendance as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of development experience, preferably in annual giving; experience in independent schools is preferred
- A strong commitment to, and enthusiasm for, Wildwood's mission, vision, and the value of independent school education
- Proven capability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team within a diverse and dynamic community, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in marketing techniques, including segmentation, direct mail, email, events, and personal solicitations
- Demonstrated experience managing events ranging in size and scope, preferably in an academic or non-profit setting
- Savvy use of digital tools and technology to maximize fundraising efforts
- Fluency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience with database technologies, preferably Raiser's Edge
