Brockton Public Schools is seeking candidates to take the examination for the position of SCHOOL POLICE OFFICER. The Brockton School Police Officer Examination will take place at Brockton High School on December 14th, 2024, at 9:30 AM. All prospective examination candidates will be notified of the exact testing room location via email correspondence.

Your email of interest must be received no later than 4:00 PM on December 7th, 2024. You will receive further instructions via email 2-3 days before the exam date.

Minimum qualifications: experience in law enforcement, criminal justice or public safety. Candidate must successfully complete the Massachusetts full time recruit officers training academy. Preference will be given to those who have already completed a Municipal Police Training Committee qualified academy in Massachusetts. Second language ability is preferred but not required (Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole or Spanish). Prospective candidates will undergo extensive background investigations as part the application process.

The successful candidate must possess strong communication and computer skills and the ability to deal with the public with professionalism. Brockton Public Schools offers a competitive salary structure and benefits package. Brockton residency within one year is required.
