Position Type: OtherDate Posted: 4/15/2024Location: ECHO Educational Enrichment CenterDate Available: 08/12/2024Closing Date: until filledParent Educator Supervisor Job Description Purpose: To assist the Program Director in supervising Parent Educators and implementing the ECHO Family Enrichment Program. Report to: FEP Program Director Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree along with relevant work experience. 2. PAT certified as a parent educator, and supervisor or to be obtained immediately following employment. 3. Valid driver's license and car insurance. 4. Supervision experience helpful. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Administer the PAT program following national and state PAT requirements and guidelines. 2. Supervise daily operations of Parent Educators. 3. Engage community leaders in the formation of a PAT Advisory Committee. 4. Assist in interviewing and with the hiring of qualified parent educators. 5. Participate in PAT Implementation Institute including becoming certified as a parent educator. 6. Assist in developing a program implementation plan. 7. Provide orientation for new parent educators. 8. Build relationships with community agencies and community partners. 9. Coordinate with other agencies for cooperative services to families with identified high needs. 10. Advocate for the program, parent educators, and families. 11. Become certified in all required developmental screenings/assessments/evaluations. 12. Support the philosophy and mission of FEP and PAT (Parents as Teachers) General Responsibilities: 1. Serve as least 2 families per year, to include accompanying home visits. 2. Maintain certifications. 3. Develop additional services as needs are recognized within the program and/or community. 4. Ensure all activities conform to program guidelines. 5. Communicate effectively with all members of the community, families, and staff. 6. Collaborate with and between all community agencies and resources. 7. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. 8. Prepare or assist in the preparation of quarterly, end-of-year and other reports as required. 9. Assist the Director with conducting staff meetings regularly and provide ongoing training for staff; provide opportunities for professional development as required by program, state, and national standards. 10. Conduct one-on-one supervision with staff as needed, but at least twice yearly. 11. Develop a filing/charting system for organized PAT record keeping. 12. Organize PAT family handouts and personal visit materials. 13. Review Parent Educators' records on a regular basis and address concerns and needs as they arise. 14. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Program Director that are consistent
