Westcal Management is hiring! We're seeking to hire a talented Apartment Leasing Professional for the Modesto CA area. No experience? No problem! Westcal Management is currently seeking entry-level Leasing candidates. We will train you to become a successful team member with our hands-on training. Fulltime position regularly scheduled to work 40hrs per week.Working as a Westcal Leasing Professional is different than any other job. As a Leasing Professional, you have the opportunity to create a positive neighborhood within this community.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for keeping the office flow at all times and maintaining positive attitude with anyone that walks in the door.
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits.
  • Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
  • Qualify potential residents by processing applications including verification of income, employment, and rental history.
  • Process documentation such as credit screening, criminal background checks, move-in paperwork.
  • Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
  • Utilize technology tools and software to communicate with potential prospects and residents.
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Responsible for ensuring the model apartments and target apartments are ready for show; responsible for maintaining work areas and office in clean and orderly manner; need to have an awareness of the curb appeal of the property.
  • Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, and all community policies.
  • Develop marketing plans with the property manager to sustain occupancy as well as staying informed about the current market.
  • Provide general administrative assistance and back-up to the property manager as needed and as time permits.
  • Long term and reliable candidates ONLY.
  • Must be able to multitask.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Large unit apartment home leasing experience is highly preferred; however, willing to train successful candidates with a background in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service with the ability to engage with different personalities and close sales/leads.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management effectively and sensitively.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
  • Basic level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.
  • Must be able to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must present a professional image at all times.

  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Must have audible (hearing) ability and skills.
  • Ability to walk extensive slope and/or flat association areas and visually review landscape, building areas, recreation facilities, parks etc.
REQUIRED:
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must pass 7 year criminal background check, have clean MVR, and pass 5 panel non DOT drug screen
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
