We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to carry out our mission, “To care for people.”

About the Opportunity:

  • The inpatient Palliative Care APP will treat patients across multiple units at Moore Regional Hospital.
  • The care team includes three Palliative Care APPs and two dedicated social workers.
  • Multi-disciplinary approach to care; collaborate with Hospitalists, specialists, nurses, discharge planners and others.
  • Dependable schedule offers work-life balance – Monday through Friday, 8A-5P, no call.

  • PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
  • NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of advanced practice experience required. APPs function autonomously across all units. Not suitable for new grad.
  • Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills; must be able to effectively navigate sensitive patient/family discussions.
  • Clean background, NC license, NC DEA, and AHA ACLS required.
  • Hospice and Palliative Care certification preferred.
