What you will be doing:
The Application Support Coordinator will join the talented team at the Moon Area School District. You will be responsible for maintaining all district software platforms that support district instruction and assessment with a dual role in maintaining databases/software that support administrative functions.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, all software platforms and databases that support district administrative functions
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, all software platforms that support district classroom instruction and assessment administrative functions
- Responsible for troubleshooting all 3rd Tier escalation of administrative and instructional application support issues and coordinating with 4th Tier partners as the local liaison for resolution
- Responsible for daily management of assigned help desk ticket queues with adherence to established thresholds for response
- Verifies local connectivity, permissions, and functional access to administrative and instructional client-server applications as well as private and public cloud services
- Gathers criteria for custom modifications to existing administrative and instructional applications and provides analysis and coordination with partners on related projects
- Creates customized data extractions and reports for administrators
- Conducts and coordinates training on the proper use of administrative and instructional applications for district personnel
- Curates the administrative application environment of the district and ensures interoperability between platforms.
- Contributes to contingency planning and provides procedures in the preservation of database repositories in the context of business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Keeps accurate records of application conventions and configuration.
- Plays a primary role in making recommendations, developing plans, and spearheading implementation of administrative and instructional application upgrades.
- Supports application publishing and cloud integration initiatives.
- Generates the specifications for licensing of administrative and instructional applications; assists in identifying software needs in preparation of the annual budget
Required Education and Experience:
- College degree preferred; high school diploma/GED and equivalent work experience required
- 2 years of preferred experience directly supporting enterprise applications in a medium-sized environment
- Strong aptitude to learn new software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory administration and permissions required
- Experience with PowerSchool online student information system
- Familiarity in supporting applications in a multiple OS environment preferred (Windows, MacOS)
- Ability to conduct software application training for small groups (5 -30 people)
- Understanding of computer and network operations
- Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment

- Must be able to pass Child Abuse History, Criminal, and Fingerprinting clearances
