Application Developer
JOB SUMMARYCovalent Solutions (Covalent) is seeking a mission driven, highly motivated and collaborative Application Developers whare truly excited about building great products for the New York City Department of Social Services. As an Application Developer, you will apply your skills to design/implement software to drive projects forward and efficiently meet project and business objectives. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a mission-driven organization.This opportunity is full-time with Covalent and is on-site in Brooklyn, New York.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Work with the project manager to define success metrics and criteria.
- Ensuring the program/project meets success parameters and business objectives stated in the project plan and charter.
- Providing transparency and communication on project status and risks to project stakeholders.
- Design/implement/maintain:
- Oracle 12c PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements
- Perform software development tasks:
- Object Oriented Programming with large data objects
- Creating/maintaining data structures
- XML Processing
- Testing
- Documentation
QUALIFICATIONS_ Education_
- Bachelor s or Master s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
_ Work Experience_
- 4+ years of development and maintenance of PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 12c.
- 4+ years of database performance tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL/SQL code.
- 4+ years of working with XML Processing, Object oriented programming with large objects.
- 4+ years working experience with data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation.
- 4+ years creating technical, end user and conversion documentation
