Job Description: Application Packaging SpecialistLocation:Malvern, PA (on-site.)Qualifications:Top Skills Should You Possess:Thought leadership in the application packaging life cycle and how to move from a disparate model to a centralized, more standardized structureProficiency in Intune, Windows 11, SCCM, Windows 10Experience with Flexera, PSADT, GPO knowledgeExpertise in Packaging (MSI, MSIX, MST, and MSI upgrade)What You'll Be Doing:Define the future state of application packaging along with lifecycle management of applications, including intake process, standard packaging process, security and vulnerability requirements, user acceptance testing, versioning maintenance, and application retirement.Validate documented installation and troubleshooting procedures for all approved software and further define application packaging standards to be used by internal/external teams.Create and maintain client-specific processes for application approval to ensure applications are installed per documented policies and procedures.Prepare client systems, and associated applications and equipment for various environments, per project requirements.Configure the systems per documented policies and procedures. Actively participate on project teams that develop custom solutions for core business initiatives.Combine knowledge of client core business activities and technical savvy to effectively design robust, scalable solutions.Provide system support for changes and enhancements following the accepted change management protocols.Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the core business solution vendors.Serve as a technical liaison between these vendors and business units.Understand and adhere to security policies and procedures as they pertain to the Windows client platform.What You Need to Bring to the Table:Three to five (3-5) years of experience in software support/packagingPackaging experience with Flexera or similar packaging studioExperience with Software Deployment using IntuneExperience packaging software for installation on Windows 10 and Windows 11Experience automating software installsWorking knowledge of GPOs and Active DirectoryKnowledge of Windows security components and permissions.Degree in Computer Science or work experience equivalentApplication version control as part of upgradesBonus Points!
