Job Purpose: Provide application support for consulting engineers and for outside sales people calling on contractor customers. Provide support for the commercial bid process. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Use independent judgment to provide equipment selection and information for consulting engineers, via Carrier selection catalog (eCat) and/or other manufacturer's software • Provide technical phone and email support for products • Review plans and specifications to determine product to be selected • Translate plans and specifications into a specific list of equipment/products needed for job by selecting appropriate equipment for application • Coordinate prior approval requests with engineering services department • Partner with Account Executives and Territory Managers on project/jobs to maintain customer satisfaction to ensure repeat business • Seek out training opportunities to expand product knowledge and understand processes to enhance the customer's experience. • Coordinate with Mingledorff's IT department in Web content to support engineers • Assist in Training Programs to include invitations, certifications, etc. • PM Tracker input • Other duties as assigned • Work cooperatively with others Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferred • Technical Engineering experience, preferred • 2 years of experience in HVAC technical support • 3 years of HVAC industry experience • Proficient computer skills in MS Office • Possess a valid driver's license • Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies Travel Requirement: Up to 35% travel to branches, other operating companies, customers and site visits requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry relatedconferences and training requiring some extended stay Other: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
