Piper Companies is looking for an Application Support Technician to join a team involved in a large merger/acquisition. This is an on-site and full - time position in New Castle, Delaware . Essential Duties of the Application Support Technician:
- Provide day-to-day support including analysis, debugging and maintenance for large scale enterprise applications.
- Provide analysis, design, testing, debugging, maintenance, and documentation for complex enterprise applications. This requires in-depth technical expertise across multiple platforms, operating systems, and tools, and of the entire enterprise landscape.
- Understanding of various disciplines and technologies, such as web, directory services, directory synchronization, security, databases, networking, infrastructure, and application development is key.
- Oversee projects and interact with other departments to ensure on time completion.
- Ensure applications and systems are maintained, secure and current.
- Ensure applications are proactively monitored to alert if issues arise
- Upgrading/Migration of application software
Qualifications of the Application Support Technician:
- 5 years of experience using Microsoft Desktop.
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office.
- 5 years of experience with Windows based client/server application support.
- Scripting/Powershell/Automation experience.
- Networking experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, laboratory or refinery industries.
- Technical bachelors degree from a four year college with 5+ years experience.
- 8-10 years experience with no degree.
Compensation for the Application Support Technician:
- $100,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)
- 100% Onsite
