Under general supervision, to obtain and analyze data for the appraisal of real and personal property for ad valorem tax purposes; to conduct standard field investigations, studies, and appraisals of residential, rural, and personal property; and to do related work as required. Distinguishing Characteristics. This is the apprentice level class for professional appraisal work in the Appraiser class series. Incumbents work under close supervision while being trained and gradually work more independently as knowledge and skills are acquired. Positions in this class typically are assigned routine appraisal work.
