You'll receive comprehensive training, and upon completion, you'll be assigned a vehicle to run solo service calls, starting a strong career in appliance repair. Qualifications:
  • Experience with major appliances or related schooling (HVAC) is a plus
  • EPA certification a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Clean driving record and valid New York driver's license
  • Willingness to undergo background checks, including drug test, DMV, and criminal background check
Duties and Responsibilities: Learn to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and test various appliances like washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves/ovens, and dishwashers with a focus on excellent customer service. Compensation: $41,600.00 - $62,400.00 per year As an appliance repair technician, you'll work with anything from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. In other words, you'll need to be fairly knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, as well as electrical work. You'll deal with more than just appliances, though, as a repair technician, you'll have to deal with people, too. Appliance repair technicians must also have skills in high mechanical aptitude, have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and of course, be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
