PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONUnder direct supervision, performs all electrical maintenance and construction tasks on electrical equipment associated with the James A. FitzPatrick Plant and Site. Under general supervision, performs electrical maintenance and construction tasks which the apprenticeship has completed in the apprenticeship program. Maintains the cleanliness and housekeeping of workshops and equipment in current work areas. Completes training in the apprenticeship program at the pace and knowledge level prescribed in the Apprentice and Training Standard.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust have no restrictions preventing use of respiratory equipment or the performance of electrical maintenance.Must have no physical or age restrictions preventing radiation exposure within Federal limits for radiation workers.Must pass aptitude test.Must have a high school education with demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English and perform mathematical calculations.Must demonstrate dexterity for the electrical trade.Must be accepted by the Apprentice Committee as an Electrician Apprentice.
