As an Arborist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on tree care, evaluating the condition of trees, and making recommendations for their care. You will also be responsible for providing services such as pruning, fertilization, insect and disease control, and when necessary, removal of damaged or diseased trees. Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on selecting and planting trees
- Evaluate the condition of trees and make recommendations for their care
- Provide services such as pruning, fertilization, insect and disease control, and removal of damaged or diseased trees
- Ensure compliance with ANSI and TCIA standards related to tree care
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and recommendations made
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of Arborculture
- Familiarity with pruning, fertilization, insect and disease control, and the safe removal of damaged or diseased trees
- Knowledge of ANSI and TCIA standards related to tree care
- Ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Maintains a consistent and positive attendance record and attitude.
- Is familiar with safety protocols and can operate all equipment used by the tree team.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate and problem-solve with all staff members.
- Must use our software system for customer contacts, appointments, and timekeeping.
- Able to balance physical work with necessary back-office responsibilities for accurate and timely billing.
- Capable of training employees in the safe usage and proper operation of all equipment.
- Understands quality control and is committed to maintaining our high standards.
Additional Duties
- Involvement with snow removal during winter hours in whatever capacity required.
- Keeps busy and productive at all times
- Ensures that all equipment in vehicles is secured properly during transport
- Additional duties as assigned
Certifications and Skills
- ISA Certified Arborist
- Tree-related education and climbing experience are a must!
- CDL B
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Med Card and have an insurable driving record
