Full Time, Mon-Fri position - we take care of our peopleHit Apply below to send your application for consideration Ensure that your CV is up to date, and that you have read the job specs first.!Family first!AND if you match that with outstanding craftsmanship and great relationships with customers – you haveahigh-end, unique,residential remodel construction company that doesprojects in the New Hampshire Seacoast, Southern Maine, andinNorthern Massachusetts.Creative solutions and superior craftsmanship for the purpose of enhancing the lives of ourclients, andnurturing the success of our employees…come join our team!TheArchitecturalDesigner we are looking foris vital fromtheinitialclient interview to completion of the design, specifications,andpermitsubmittal and ensuring designscomply withlocal zoning regulations and building codes.The Architectural Designer will alsobe producingboth preliminary and working design documents for the production handoff packageandworks in close coordination with Designer and other staff as well as the client.…HOWEVER, this is the place where a hard-working,go-gettercan get training in some areas – solet'shave a conversation!Please ReferenceJBCSOBLAD01when applying with your resume and pay expectations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all stages of assigned projects including existing conditions documentation, preliminary design, design development, and handoff to production staff.Research and specify items and materials as necessary to meet the varying needs of each unique project.Conduct initial client interviews and document client's design goals, expectations and develop the scope of work and import before photos for new projects.Ensure that the home is accurately measured and photographed for documentation of existing conditions.Produce as-built drawings, create imaginative and practical designsolutionsand prepare floor plans (sketching and/or CAD) and elevation drawings for a preliminary client meeting.Review designs with the Design Manager, Designer, and Estimator for construction feasibility and cost implications before presenting preliminary drawings.Refine and hone the preliminary plan and give the Design Manager and Estimator drawingsfor obtaininga preliminary estimate.Develop working drawings including electrical and mechanical plans,windowand door schedules.Create 3D architectural features accuratelyrepresentingexisting andnew designplans and create color renderings ofdesignsas necessary. Perform orassist3D animation walkthroughs of design plans with the client and make changes as requested by the client.Recommend finishes, fixtures, materials, appliances, and other miscellaneous items unique to each job and assist the client in shopping at showrooms if necessary for assigned projects as well as other clients.Prepare contract drawings for the Design Manager and Estimator tofinalizethe Construction agreement.Visitjobssites when necessary to resolve design issues as.Create Client and Office Design Books as needed.Maintain current knowledge of construction codes and implement changes as.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architectureor similar area of study required.Some coursework and progressive related work experience will be considered in lieu ofdegree.Three (3) to five (5) years of experience designing residential remodeling, creating floorplansand drawing elevations and perspectives.Strong understanding of building codes & requirements.Experience with residential design-build andthe philosophyaccompaniesit highly desired or aptitude toattainit.Proficient in Chief Architect.Ability to multi‐task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.Creative imagination and practical understanding of construction.Hand drawing skills and good “design sense” for space planning andfinishesselections.Excellent communication skills and personable demeanor.Previousexperience working with and at ease with residential clients, assessing their unique needs as well as being able to take their ideas and translate those ideas into plans within budget.Proficient in the accuracy of details, plans, and ideas.
