Remote A leading hardwood distributor with a global presence is seeking an Architectural Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with architects and designers to secure specifications for high-end flooring products, driving the brand's presence in commercial and high-profile projects. Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000 / year DOE Architectural Specialist Responsibilities:
- Engage with architects and designers to secure specifications for high-end flooring products
- Develop and maintain relationships with leading architectural firms
- Present and promote products through trade shows, lunch-and-learns, and vendor shows
- Generate leads and follow up with potential clients to expand specifications and product use in high-profile projects
- Provide architects and designers with product samples and detailed specification sheets
- Collaborate with the sales team to align on objectives and share best practices
- Track progress towards goals, focusing on specifications secured and architect outreach
- Manage a region with occasional travel for out-of-region projects
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitive offerings
Architectural Specialist Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with architects and designers in a business development or architectural sales role
- Proven track record in promoting high-end products such as acoustical panels, fabrics, lighting, or other architectural materials
- Strong network with top architectural firms and experience in securing specifications for commercial projects
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively, particularly in a remote work environment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- A passion for architecture, design, and sports is a plus
- Degree in Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred but not required
- Tech-savvy with experience in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with high-end manufacturers, particularly in the flooring or architectural material space preferred but not required
- Knowledge of the A&D community and familiarity with key industry influencers preferred but not required
- Experience working with specification-driven sales processes preferred but not required
