Area Visual Manager| JOB SUMMARY:
The Area Visual Manager (AVM) will collaborate with agency owners to enhance the in-store customer experience through strategic visual operations and merchandising. Responsible for overseeing a group of agencies within a defined geographical area, the AVM will ensure operational excellence by addressing merchandising challenges, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring product presentation meets established brand standards. This hands-on role requires proactive problem-solving, clear documentation, and consistent execution to optimize both customer satisfaction and business performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee agency operations to ensure adherence to brand standards in merchandising and store layouts.
- Monitor, analyze, and act on sales and inventory reports to optimize product placement and improve sell-through.
- Establish and maintain operational consistency by addressing and resolving inefficiencies, including backroom organization and merchandise flow.
- Ensure that all newness is displayed on the sales floor promptly and as directed.
Relationship Building:
- Build trust and develop strong working relationships with agency owners and associates through regular, hands-on visits.
- Partner with agency owners to identify and resolve pain points, aligning strategies with individual store needs.
- Represent the agency with professionalism and integrity, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Communication and Education:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for agencies, documenting interactions and cascading actionable insights to relevant teams.
- Translate data and reports into clear, actionable strategies for store associates and agency owners.
- Clarify communication on product and processes to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance associate confidence in product knowledge and hand-selling techniques.
Merchandising and Display:
- Document and analyze full store layouts, including backroom spaces and floor plans.
- Oversee and execute merchandising floorsets, product adjustments, and storytelling displays in line with the seasonal calendar.
- Ensure product flow aligns with customer demand and merchandising goals, tracking progress through regular reporting.
- Support store openings, remodels, and area-wide visual projects, ensuring execution aligns with strategy.
Marketing and Branding:
- Implement in-store marketing programs, ensuring correct signage and adherence to branding standards.
- Assess and recommend branding elements to strengthen in-store customer engagement.
Fundamental Requirements:
- Travel within the assigned area with reliable access to a vehicle.
- Availability for an average of 30–35 hours/week, with flexibility based on business needs.
KEY SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of operational processes and proficiency in using reports to inform decisions.
- Experience in merchandising within a retail setting, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new systems or software.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with trends in Food/Beverage, Home, and Fashion is a plus.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
