Armed Security Guard - BMS Security : Job Details

We are seeking a reliable and highly alert Armed Security Guard to protect people, property, and assets at our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. You will play a critical role in maintaining safety and deterring criminal activity, ensuring a secure environment for all. Duties and Responsibilities:Access Control & Loss PreventionMonitor and control access to buildings, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises. Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches. Proactively deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to the location. Monitor premises to identify and address suspicious activity or behaviors. Collaborate with management and law enforcement to prevent losses and ensure a safe environment. Conduct regular patrols and inspections to safeguard assets and uphold location standards. Report incidents and maintain detailed logs of observations and actions taken. Incident Response:Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, including thefts, disturbances, and medical incidents. Assess situations, de-escalate conflicts, and take appropriate action to resolve issues. Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Safety and Security Protocols:Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and ensure safety. Secure and monitor high-value assets, including cash, inventory, or equipment. Inspect and secure doors, windows, and access points after hours to prevent unauthorized access. Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities. Prepare detailed incident reports for management or law enforcement as needed. Weapon Handling and Readiness:Carry and maintain a firearm in accordance with company policies and state laws. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of firearms and other defensive tools. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations regarding the handling and storage of weapons. Customer and Client Interaction:Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and directing individuals appropriately. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Qualifications:Required Licenses and Certifications:Valid armed security guard license or permit (Missouri). Ability to obtain an Armed Security License in compliance with the City of St. Louis regulations. Capability to qualify with a firearm as mandated by the City of St. Louis licensing standards. Firearms training and certification as required by local or state law. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required). Experience:Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory. Military or police background is a plus. Skills and Att
