As an Art Director at Hover, you'll be instrumental in bringing our brand and marketing vision to life. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketing teams, and other cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, impactful creative work across a variety of mediums. This role is hands-on, requiring both exceptional design skills and the ability to guide and inspire a team. You'll play a critical role in building and maintaining the Hover brand, focusing on execution and elevating our creative output.
Who you are
- Execute Brand and Marketing Systems: Implement and refine Hover's brand guidelines and marketing systems, ensuring creative consistency and excellence across all channels.
- Lead Design Projects: Own the development of creative projects, from concept to execution, including campaigns, physical activations, video and photography direction, and digital assets.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with marketing leadership, designers, and other teams to align creative work with business goals and ensure project success.
- Hands-On Craftsmanship: Contribute directly to design work, maintaining a high standard of quality and detail in all deliverables.
- Inspire and Guide: Provide creative direction and mentorship to designers, fostering their growth and helping them produce their best work.
- Advocate for Great Ideas: Push for the best creative solutions, offering thoughtful critiques, and confidently saying no when necessary to prioritize impactful work.
- Innovate Within Scope: Generate fresh ideas and collaborate on campaigns that push the boundaries of Hover's brand expression.
What You'll Bring

Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we expect that all employees living within a 50-mile radius of our offices will come into their local Hover office at least three times a week to build rapport and foster organic connection. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $133,000 - $152,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
