Our client is a high-end art dealer providing their specialized services to clients for over 50 years.An Art Gallery salesperson's primary function is to generate leads and sales, market the onboard art program, and arrange gallery and auction displays while maintaining a positive attitude and enthusiastic work ethic. Art Gallery salespersons are given feedback daily and are formally evaluated once per month by their Principal Auctioneer. Within the Art Gallery salesperson job position, there are regular promotions in earning potential.Job ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of an Art Gallery salesperson is to engage clients and instill a strong passion for fine art and collecting while on vacation. Working as a part of a team the Art Gallery salesperson will contribute to developing and maintaining an art program that consistently achieves sales targets. Unlike many corporate jobs, the Art Gallery salesperson has the opportunity to develop a myriad of different skill sets. Other responsibilities will include:• Event planning• Arranging cohesive and professional art displays• Organizing and executing marketing strategies• Developing and maintaining a promotional mindset• Engaging in consultative conversations with collectors and generating interest• Educating clients about artwork, determining the level of interest, and developing leads• Making payment and shipping arrangements• Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all timesJob RequirementsAs an Art Gallery salesperson, you must be highly motivated, personable, and eager to learn and grow professionally. Qualified candidates must be able to interact effectively and develop rapport with a diverse variety of people.
