Job Description About Us:Founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents, Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for more than 50 years. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as from Wilmington, Delaware.With a diverse student population, Cecil College enrolls approximately 2,500 credit students and 3,400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes.   • Administer tests
  • Serve as lead proctor and first line of contact for other proctors
  • Monitor the testing room, screens and cameras as assigned
  • If cheating is suspected, create an Incident report and forward it to the appropriate party.
  • Follow all Opening/ Closing procedures for the ASC as assigned
  • Record keeping / Clerical duties
  • Provide technical equipment assistance for students and faculty
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Administer Pearson VUE tests
  • Maintain all paperwork for Pearson VUE tests
  • Administer Skills Assessments.
  • Administer tests for Cecil College Classes
  • Maintain Test Sign - In and Instructor Logs
  • Proctor exams for other colleges and entities
  • Adhere to all college policies and procedures
  • Help Students create appointments for testing or tutoring
  • Answer the ASC phone and assist the student or direct them to the appropriate person
  • Manage the rental of calculators and the paperwork involved
  • Be adaptable and able to work well with students of all ability levels, faculty, and staff
  • Exhibit good written and oral communication skills
  • OTHER RELATED DUTIES:
  • Assist instructors if necessary
  • Handle other related duties as assigned.
  • REQUIREMENTS:
    • EDUCATION: Associate degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred; must not be pursuing a degree, certificate or program that uses Pearson Vue tests.
    • SKILLS/TRAINING: Must pass Pearson's TA (Test Administrator) certification test within 6 weeks of hire and maintain certification. Computer experience with working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel, as well as willingness to learn other software or programs as necessary
    • PROFICIENCIES: Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.
