Asphalt Plant Groundman/Loader- Algood/Liberty/Sparta - Rogers Group : Job Details

Rogers Group Inc. is seeking a Groundman / General Laborer / Loader Operator for our asphalt plant operations located in Algood, TN & Liberty, TN & Sparta, TN. This position involves manual labor, equipment operation assistance, and ensuring that the plant runs smoothly.

Pay starting at $20/hr.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

* Ensure that materials are stored properly to maintain quality and prevent contamination.

* Transport materials to different areas of the plant as needed.

* Operate basic machinery or tools, such as forklifts or shovels, to move materials and equipment around the plant.

* Routine equipment/plant maintenance

* Involved with plant improvement projects

* Monitor the flow of material through the plant, ensuring that there are no blockages or issues with material movement.

* Report equipment problems and identify them to management.

* Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment

* Ability to maintain safe working conditions

* Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision

* Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned

* Ability to learn quickly

* Must be willing to work weekends and overtime

* Must pass pre-employment drug screen
