Akkodis is seeking an Assembler I - Shift 3 for a Contract job with a client in Southington, CT . This role requires strong dexterity and attention to detail for assembling small parts using hand tools and inspecting for defects. Rate Range: $18/hour to $19.50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Assembler I - Shift 3 job responsibilities include:
- Assemble small parts using hand tools, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring quality and precision.
- Perform visual inspections of products to identify defects using various types of magnification.
- Weigh, count, package, and label finished products as required.
- Complete production records and work order documentation accurately.
- Identify and communicate non-conformities or quality issues to the team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors and team leads.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Be flexible and willing to learn new processes, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (bachelor's degree is a plus).
- Previous assembly experience is desirable but not required.
- Ability to manually assemble small parts using hand tools and equipment.
- Good hand/eye coordination and attention to detail for quality inspections.
- A willingness to learn new processes, flexibility in adapting to changing work environments, and the ability to work as part of a team.
