Assembler I - Spine Fixation

Perform basic electrical and mechanical assembly functions as defined by the Manufacturing Procedure. Must have the ability to meet or exceed all minimum departmental performance levels in the areas of Quality, Attendance and Productivity.

* Regular attendance required.

* Read, comprehend and follow all Manufacturing Procedures.

* Follow all safety and Corporate policies.

* Perform a wide range of electrical and mechanical assembly functions utilizing soldering and hand-eye coordination skills.

* Receive and comprehend formal documentation, safety, GMP, Workmanship and Hazardous Chemical Training.

* Achieve all minimum acceptable departmental performance level targets upon receipt of training.

* Have ability and desire to be cross trained on the majority of jobs in manufacturing.

* Attention to detail to eliminate errors

* 1 year of mechanical assembly

* Use of electrical hand tools for assembly

* Ability to work in a clean room environment

* Computer experience in a windows environment

* Ability to read and follow manufacturing procedures and work instructions

* Must have reading and writing skills usually associated with the completion of a high school education

**Nonessential Skills, Experience and Qualifications (not necessary but preferred):**

* Production experience with medical devices

**Physical Demands and Work Conditions:**

* Ability to bend over, pick up and carry at least a minimum of one 15Ib. tote.

* Ability to reach overhead and either put up or take down a 15Ib. tote.

* Ability to push or pull a rack or cart of totes, weighing a minimum of 50Ibs.

* Sight corrected to the level required to detect cosmetic and workmanship type defects such as wrong value components and solder shorts.
