Job Description :
Overview of the Position:Assemble several components into small to medium sized aircraft assemblies using blueprints and or work instructions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Utilize travelers and work instructions to assemble components without nonconformities
  • Interpret complex aerospace blueprints and schematics
  • Employ the use of fabrication and assembly tools i.e. rivet guns, drills, pneumatic grinders, bucking bars, etc.
  • Use of various hardware i.e. shear pins, various rivets types, hi-locs, Cleco, safety wire, etc.
  • Operate all shop equipment safely
  • Assist in other area as required
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic computer software
  • Problem solving
  • Work well with a team
  • Ability to use assembly and fabrication equipment
Education / Experience Requirements:High school diploma or GED. A & P license and certified in rotopeen repairs and cold working is preferred.Other Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Is regularly required to lift 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
  • Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Is frequently required to talk or listen.
  • Works in intermediate noise levels, such as production areas, and shop floors.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Minimal travel required.
