Job Summary:The Assembler III is responsible for performing repetitive mechanical assembly tasks requiring precise dexterity and attention to detail to maintain production pace and quality standards. This role involves assembling and testing mechanical or electrical componentsfollowing established safety and quality guidelines, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Follow all workplace safety and product quality policies and guidelines.
- Complete site-specific safety and quality training.
- Assemble and test mechanical or electrical components using sensitive hand coordination and equipment.
- Assemble minor variations of in-house standard products following clear instructions, such as color coding, PVC thermal welding, and thread taping.
- Use simple hand or power tools and uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Record work hours in the ERP system (e.g., SAP) and complete required production documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including daily housekeeping and 5S audits.
- Read and interpret basic layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.
- Address internal and external customer needs and expectations effectively.
Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience, technical coursework, or relevant hobbies.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Frequent ability to walk, write, and type.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Occasional ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to climb and descend stairs.
- Exposure to varying temperatures (0-120Â\u00b0F), noise levels requiring hearing protection, and dust or dirt.
- Work may involve both indoor and outdoor environments, with concrete surfaces.
- Proficient in operating a computer and communicating verbally and in writing.
